the entire landscape—
didn’t look real.
I kept staring .
the more I looked at it, the worse it got.
My brain was literally trying to tell me this was impossible.
That the beauty wasn’t real.
That the landscape wasn’t real.
It looked like a classic Renaissance painting.
I felt like I was in a painting.
But it wasn’t. I wasn’t
It was just there.
And I remember my head actually hurt trying to process it—
all of it—
that this was real and not something painted.
